There is going to be a by-election for three vacancies on Shalfleet Parish Council on

PLEASE VOTE: With the Localism Act 2011 Parish Councils are more powerful and it is in your BEST INTERESTS to vote. There are THREE VACANCIES therefore you will have THREE VOTES

IF YOU WISH TO STAND: It costs nothing. You don't need special qualifications. There is no payment or expenses. You'll do it as a service to your community, not for what you get out of it. You can get the nomination papers from Isle of Wight Council in Newport. Ask for 

Clive Joynes Elections and Local Land Charges Manager. Nominations in by Friday 12^th September so you will need to move quickly. Phone 821000.
