EDIT: Please note: The hubub at the beginning of the recording was as a result of the Chairman asking those who wished to object to the planning application for Warlands Lane, Shalfleet, to select just one person to represent them to the Parish Council while the Parish Council meeting continued. I have had a comment that it is hard to hear. The public also found it impossible to hear and a number of complaints were made. The noise goes a short way in, slide the tape maker along on the You Tube player.
The video of the Shalfleet Parish Council Meeting 3rd December 2014 is now embedded below. Please tell folk that it is now available. Sorry for the delay; there were technical problems I hadn't forseen...although the camera is not that old the format is not compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker so I had to find an inexpensive editor. Plus, it is a long film and takes time. Next time it should be quicker and easier.
One resident asked for their talk not to be recorded so you will see a decision by the SPC seemingly without any discussion. Any of those present will fill you in on the details or you can wait for the minutes.
Just cos the don't speak up when uyous filmin don't mean they agrees with yous ways tis propaberly cos yous twist thins to yous ways
ReplyDeleteI have never seen such a shambles at what is supposed to be a public meeting. Shalfleet Parish Council should be ashamed of themselves.
ReplyDeleteFor the Chairperson to instruct residents when the meeting is underway that only one person can speak on behalf of all of them is ludicrous. Many might have relevant views. It would be more usual for 3 people to be allowed to speak.
I cannot believe that this is a Quality Council, it seems more akin to the Vicar of Dibley.
Do have some sympathy for those backing onto the field, however i cant understand why people not affected including those outside the village and the spokesman for the "Nos" should be making such a fuss? If my parents and their and friends had made such scene when Fleetway was proposed most of the people at the meeting would have never been able to live in the village including me, its the im alright Jack mind set and no consideration for young people.
