Health education chiefs call summit to tackle developing GP workforce crisis

It's not my intention to turn this into a medical blog or a medico-political blog but we have serious problems with General Practice here in the West Wight, and the Island as a whole. I publish below an item from Pulse Today along with some of the many comments to help give a GP's perspective. It is clear that we, the public, need to become engaged with the problem and try to understand the various points of view. I would remind readers that not so long ago General Practice was considered (by the public) to be almost a licence to print money. We can't keep yanking the cord to and fro without something breaking at some stage. If you'd like to know more, register at www.pulsetoday.co.uk -- you don't have to be a Dr to register.
